#21 Germany: Bremen - and an additional goal for my postcard project

After receiving my third postcard from Germany the other day, I've decided to add another goal to my postcard project. Previously, my goals were to a) collect a postcard from every country in the world and b) also collect postcards from all of the 50 states of the US. I've now added a third goal: to collect postcards from all of the 16 states (or Bundesländer as they are called in German) that make up Germany.

Cornelia from Bremen sent me this postcard through Postcrossing. Bremen is one of three cities in Germany that is both a city and a state. I recently visited Bremen as it is not too far from Hamburg and really enjoyed my stay there. It's definitely worth a visit! Cornelia also put a cute stamp on the card, enjoy!

#17 Germany: Wuppertal, North Rhine-Westphalia

I recently received my first postcard from Germany! Nicci sent it to me from her hometown of Wuppertal via Postcrossing. She might actually send me another postcard because she accidently mailed the card that was intended for me to China and promised to send me a replacement. Thanks Nicci, I'm looking forward to hearing from you again!

#13 USA: New York City, New York

Corinne, a fellow Postcrossing member from New Hampshire, sent me this card. The beautiful art card shows NYC, which is why I have decided to classify it as an entry for New York. Now I "only" have 48 more states to go. :)

#12 USA: Dubuque, Iowa

This postcard was sent to me by fellow SparkPeople member Barbara from Iowa with whom I have arranged a private swap. It shows a view of the Mississippi and is my first "real" postcard from the US. I said "real" because it's the first card from the US to actually show a place in the states. One down, forty-nine to go... Thanks Barbara, I can't wait for the other postcards you're going to send me!

#11 Australia: Bunbury

I received a few postcards over the weekend, so I really need to get caught up with posting them... First one up is from Julie in Australia.

I met Julie on SparkPeople, an awesome free diet website I joined to lose weight for my wedding. I met lots of great people on there and the support from the community is amazing. I posted a blog about my postcard project on there and Julie volunteered to help me out and send me a postcard. Don't you just love the view on that card?! The stamp is also very beautiful, thanks Julie!
