#5 Hong Kong
Today, I found another Postcrossing postcard in my mailbox. The card shows The Convention and Exhibition Centre in Hong Kong and Kira from Florida picked it up during her trip to Hong Kong in 2005.
At first I was unsure how to categorize this postcard because it was technically sent from the US. But since I'm collecting the postcard itself, I have decided to always go with what the card shows, which is why I labeled it as Hong Kong.
I also really liked the stamp she put on the postcard because polar bears are my favorite animals. Thanks Kira!

#2 Puerto Rico: San Juan
I received this postcard from my parents last week. They retired earlier this year and are now spending a lot of time traveling. They chose to send me this card during the first stop of their Caribbean cruise in Puerto Rico when they visited Fort San Cristóbal in San Juan. I also have an image of the stamp for you, here you go!

#1 Vietnam: Hoi An
I received this postcard from my friend Romy not too long ago. She was visiting Vietnam and Cambodia and was kind enough to send me a postcard. What I like best about this one is that she didn't mail it until she came to Cambodia, so check out these cool stamps!
About my project
I've collected postcards wherever I went for as long as I can think and already have a pretty impressive collection. However, there are so many places I haven't been to yet, so I thought it would be nice to at least have a postcard even if I never get there in person. Therefore, I recently decided to sign up to Postcrossing, a postcard crossing project that enables you to send and receive postcards from people all over the world.
I decided to start this blog to record the postcards I receive from the other Postcrossing members as well as friends and family. My goal is to collect a postcard from every country in the world and each of the fifty states of the US. I'll probably add more goals as I go but this is it for now!
Follow my progress on this blog and feel free to send me a postcard to help me reach my goals. Just email me at aroundtheworldinpostcards@googlemail.com and I'll send you my address!
